Poull selected as 79th Alice in Dairyland
Wisconsin’s next Alice in Dairyland is Anastasia Poull.

Poull grew up near Port Washington and was attracted to agriculture at a very young age by visiting her grandparents’ farm, which led to more. “I joined 4-H projects such as horse and pony, beef, and beekeeping, and that just continued to drive the passion that I have inside of me, which led me to pursue a career in agriculture and attend school at South Dakota State University.”
Poull earned bachelor’s degrees in animal science, agricultural leadership, and agricultural science, along with a minor in agricultural business, and a master’s degree in communication and media studies. She tells Brownfield that she is prepared for the hectic pace of being Alice in Dairyland. “I would say that the bizarre schedule and long days did match my college schedule quite a bit, but just knowing that I get to continue to do that and that there are people I can talk to on the phone during those drives and enjoy it all, just take it in, I’m really looking forward to it.”
Poull will be working with current Alice in Dairyland Sarah Hagenow before beginning her term in July.
Alice in Dairyland is a one-year full-time paid marketing and promotions position at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. Alice in Dairyland highlights the many different producers and processors that are part of the state’s 116.3 billion dollar agricultural economy.
