Purdue University launches new CFO website

Purdue University’s Department of Animal Science has launched a new website to provide information about Confined Feeding Operation (CFOs) standards and regulations in Indiana.

The website is in response to the growing interest about CFOs.  There are approximately 2,000 CFOs currently operating in Indiana with farms regulated by standards set by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

Paul Ebner, an associate professor in the Department of Animal Sciences says the website is a centralized resource for information that will include descriptions of county and state regulations pertaining to CFO’s in Indiana, tools for planners involved in CFO siting, and information on current issues related to CFOs.
