Rain and snow slow Minnesota farmers finishing fall fieldwork

Widespread rain and snow limited Minnesota farmers trying to wrap up fall fieldwork last week.

USDA’s final crop report for 2024 shows there were four days suitable, with activities including tillage and planting CRP and cover crops.

Topsoil moisture supplies going into winter are rated 55 percent adequate to surplus, with the majority of subsoil moisture conditions in the short to adequate categories.
