Rain improves Missouri crop conditions

The recent rains across Missouri continue to help crop conditions.

USDA says 75 percent of the state’s corn and soybeans are rated good to excellent. Corn planting is nearing completion and 83 percent of the soybeans are planted.

Cotton conditions are rated 57 percent good to excellent with five precent of the crop squaring. Rice conditions are 78 percent good to excellent with most of the crop emerged.

Winter wheat harvest is just getting started, at two percent complete. The crop is rated 72 percent good to excellent.
