Rains help MO soybean conditions

Missouri’s soybean conditions have improved in the last week with above normal rainfall and below normal temperatures, but corn conditions continue to decline.

USDA’s Crop Progress report says soybean conditions are rated 44% good to excellent, with 83% setting pods. Corn condition ratings are 35% good to excellent, a decline of 3 points from the previous week with 61% of the crop dented and 3% mature.

Cotton conditions are rated 70% good to excellent, a slight improvement from the previous week with most of the crop setting bolls. Rice conditions are rated 75% good to excellent.

Pasture conditions declined slightly from the previous week and hay supplies are rated 74% short to very short and stock water supplies are rated 60% adequate.
