Rep. Flood frustrated on lack of 45Z guidance
A U.S. Congressman from Nebraska says he’s frustrated that the U.S. Treasury has yet to release guidance for the Clean Fuel Production Act, also known as 45Z.
Mike Flood tells Brownfield…
“Without guidance from the Treasury, we’re hindering SAF production in the United States and there’s a lot of excitement over sustainable aviation fuels in Nebraska.”
The First District Congressman says renewable energy producers need clarity before investing in sustainable aviation fuel production.
“I think that’s foundational in building any robust domestic production. I guess that it’s not a priority for the Treasury. I think it needs to be done as soon as possible,” he says.
The Treasury is expected to release its guidance on 45Z by January 1.
