U.S. Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says she’s optimistic 2025 is the year a federal solution for year-round E15 gets done.

“Securing consumer choice for nationwide year-round E15 is an essential step to unleashing domestic energy production and to lowering costs at the pump.”

The Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2025, recently introduced in the 119th Congress, would remove seasonal restrictions from those who sell, market or purchase ethanol blends up to 15 percent.

The Iowa Republican says there’s been signals of support for biofuels from Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins and EPA administrator Lee Zeldin. She says getting a permanent E15 would give Iowa’s economy a boost.

“The biofuels industry contributes over $7 billion to our economy every year and supports nearly 57,000 jobs in our state.”

The U.S. EPA over the weekend said it will allow year-round E15 to be sold in eight Midwestern states starting in April.
