Russia and Ukraine conflict get attention at G20 Ag Meet

The Deputy Secretary at USDA says the U.S. and other countries at the G20 Ag Ministers Meeting made statements to condemn Russia’s conflict with Ukraine.

Russia recently attacked a grain ship in the Black Sea and Xochitl Torres Small told reporters “while we were in Brazil, among our peers in agriculture, we encouraged an end to the conflict, especially given the impact it has on food production, supply chains and trade.”

Torres Small met with ag ministers in Brazil this week to discuss sustainability in agriculture, diversity and international trade.
