Schreiber continues FFA journey, advocating for agriculture
A past Wisconsin FFA State President has expanded her ag education experience as a National FFA officer.
Mary Schreiber from East Troy served as FFA state president in 2023 and 2024. Last October, she was selected from more than 30 candidates to be a national officer, and serves as the Central Region Vice President. “I’ve spent the last couple of months training and traveling all across the country to state conventions and conference, and competitions delivering keynote speeches and workshops, engaging with students and stakeholders. It has been the year of a lifetime.”
Schreiber says during her year as National Secretary, she will work with chapters and conventions in 30 states and travel over 100-thousand miles.
When her term ends in October, Schreiber plans to continue being a voice for agriculture. “I’m looking to study agriculture policy and agriculture leadership, hopefully to go into lobbying or maybe as a legislative assistant out in (Washington) D.C. or here in Madison to advocate for agriculture and producers across the U.S. and here in Wisconsin.”
Schreiber says the people involved in FFA helped shape her into the person she is today, and she’s grateful FFA has helped her and over a million other young people become successful in agribusiness.
