SD corn emergence ahead at 82%

Corn emergence reached 82% in South Dakota on Sunday as nearly 100% of the crop has been planted. Sixty-three percent is rated good.

Soybean emergence is 65% with 92% of the crop planted.

A third of the winter wheat crop has headed with most of the crop fair to good.

Spring wheat emergence is nearly 100% with the crop in mostly fair to good shape.

Eighteen percent of oats have headed. Sorghum planting is at 65% with sunflowers at 35% complete.
