L-R: Brody Stapel, Carolyn Stapel, Adam Seibel, Chrissy Seibel, Chelsea Chandler, Scott Laeser

The 2019 winners of Wisconsin’s Outstanding Young Farmer award are Adam & Chrissy Seibel from Bloomer.  Seibel’s Organic Dairy is milking 140 Holsteins and cropping 1,000 acres.  They were one of the first organic dairies to install robotic milkers, and that helped increase their production to 91 pounds per cow per day.  The Seibel’s will represent Wisconsin at the national event starting February 5th in Westbrook, Connecticut.

First runner up was current Edge Dairy Farmers Cooperative President Brody Staple and his wife Carolyn from Double Dutch Dairy at Cedar Grove.  The second runner up was Scott Laeser and Chelsea Chandler from Argyle, WI.

Wisconsin Soybean Association President Tony Mellenthin from Eau Galle received the Speaking Up For Agriculture award.

The Wisconsin Outstanding Young Farmer awards began in 1952, and has been supported by the Jaycees nationally since 1954.
