Show pig symposium scheduled
An Ohio Show Pig Symposium is going to be held on Saturday, August 24 at Der Dutchman in Plain City beginning at 9 a.m.
Dale Ricker, OSU Extension swine specialist says they’ll cover several topics that day.
“Well in the morning we’re going to talk about selection, selecting that boar, or that gilt that you might want to use for your show pigs,” Ricker said. “We’re gonna talk some on herd health, breed production, feeding that sow and then also dealing with sows at farrowing time and dealing with some of those difficult farrowing’s, really quite a wide variety of topics.”
