Sioux City pork plant is adding second shift

The Seaboard Triumph Foods pork processing plant at Sioux City has started hiring for a second shift.
The 300 million dollar plant went online last fall and now has 11-hundred workers. The addition of a second shift will create another 900 jobs.
The plant currently processes 10,500 hogs each day. Adding a second shift will double that number.
The second shift is expected to begin by early summer, according to a story in the Sioux City Journal.
