Smith: National FFA must address concerns
A U.S. Congressman from Missouri says the National FFA has responded to an inquiry into a partnership with Syngenta and their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Jason Smith tells Brownfield “They have said they will comply and we’re waiting on their response. This organization is so important for every child who cares about agriculture and we need to make sure it’s being ran appropriately.”
In early February, Smith, David Schweikert from Arizona and Tracey Mann from Kansas sent a letter to the National FFA Organization, saying they are providing oversight of nonprofits for foreign influence, political or ideological activity inconsistent with charitable missions.
National FFA previously told Brownfield it doesn’t and cannot advocate the views for any donor or sponsor.
