South Dakota corn harvest 10 percentage points behind normal

South Dakota Corn is 62 percent good to excellent. The crop is 36 percent mature, well behind the 80 percent average. Two percent of it is harvested. Normally, harvest would be 12 percent finished.

Soybeans are 57 percent good to excellent with combining 5 percent complete. Normally more than a third of the crop would be cut.

Winter wheat planting is 77 percent finished, which is just about normal.

Sorghum is 74 percent good to excellent with 5 percent of the crop harvested, about 10 percentage points behind normal.

South Dakota pastures are 74 percent good to excellent and topsoil moisture is 99 percent adequate to surplus.
