South Dakota crop conditions decline
Crop conditions continue to decline for South Dakota farmers.
USDA says corn is five percent silk with conditions rated 69% good to excellent and soybeans are rated 66% good to excellent, with 22% of the crop blooming.
Sorghum in South Dakota is 14% headed, below the average for this time of the year and conditions are rated 77% good to excellent.
Winter wheat harvest is on pace with average in South Dakota at 15% complete.
USDA says 93% of South Dakota’s spring wheat is headed with the crop conditions rated 56% good to excellent.
