Starting the climate conversation through ag sustainability

The CEO and founder of IN-Climate,  an ag and energy membership group, says ag is part of the climate solution.

Sarah Beth Aubrey says farmers continue to implement practices that make their farms and the industry more sustainable.

“We understand that getting out of our comfort zone and making sure that we stay abreast of what’s coming and how that will affect our operations, whether in the immediate term or in the long term, is important,” she says. “That’s important for operational sustainability.”

She tells Brownfield the upcoming IN-Climate Summit provides peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

“Hearing directly from growers so that they can talk about their experience, not only to inform the decisions that their suppliers make that attend but also their peers that are other farmers throughout the Midwest,” she says.

Aubrey says topics such as AI and sustainable aviation fuel are at the forefront of the industry.
