Steady year-over-year growth for MO FFA
The National FFA Organization has reached one-million members and some of that growth is coming from Missouri.
Jackson Rhine, a vice president from southwest Missouri, tells Brownfield the growth is steady year-over-year. “We’re up over 27,000 members and have 5 to 6 new chapters being chartered this year. Missouri is up there with the big states like Texas and California.”
President Andi Belt, from northeast Missouri, says the growth in the state is likely because FFA makes an impact to those who might not have an ag background.
“We have a lot more agriscience things to do for non-traditional backgrounds. We have a good depth of members here in Missouri.”
Brownfield interviewed Belt and Rhine at the Missouri State Fair in mid-Missouri.
