Tennessee cotton and soybean harvest near completion
Dry conditions across Tennessee continue to impact winter wheat and pasture conditions.
According to the USDA’s final Crop Progress and Conditions Report, harvest for both cotton and soybeans is 95 percent complete.
Winter wheat is rated 74 percent good to excellent, with 93 percent planted and 80 percent emerged.
Just 22 percent of pastures are rated good to excellent.
Topsoil moisture is called 85 percent adequate to surplus, and subsoil moisture is 69 percent adequate to surplus.
