Tennessee crop update 92% cotton and 66% soybeans planted
Parts of Tennessee were hit with some rains at the end of the week and planting progress came to a halt, while other areas are drier and are starting to cut and bale hay.
Corn planting is 98% complete, with 87% emerged and 74% rated good to excellent. Cotton planting is 92% complete with 3% squared and 71% rated good to excellent. Soybeans are 66% planted and 47% emerged. Eighty percent of the winter wheat crop is coloring and 77% is rated good to excellent.
Pastures are rated 57% good to excellent and could use some moisture as grazing increases.
Topsoil moisture is 74% and subsoil moisture is 86% adequate to surplus.
