Tennessee harvest progress makes big jump this week

Drier weather allowed for significant harvest progress this past week.  Seventy-one percent of soybeans and 97 percent of corn has been harvested. 

Cotton harvest is 64 percent complete.  Fifty-four percent of pastures are rated good to excellent and 78 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, with 60 percent emerged.

Eighty-nine percent of Topsoil and Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
