Still time to register for Forum

Discussions at next week’s Indiana Livestock, Forage, and Grain Forum will focus on “Big Data”.

Megan Kuhn, communications director for Indiana Soybean Alliance and Indiana Corn Growers tells Brownfield it’ll be an opportunity for farmers to learn more about what those buzz words could means for them.  “Really what “Big Data” means to society in general with our keynote speaker Ken Cukier, the data editor of the economist,” she says.  “He’s going to give us the big picture of it.  Then, we’re going to scale it down to who is using big data in agriculture.  We’ll have a great panel discussion talking about some of the ways it’s being used and what questions farmers should ask.”

She says the afternoon sessions give commodity groups a chance to meet. “Each individual organization within the state can focus on the specific things their farmers need,” she says.  “Between dairy and forage and beef and pork – everyone is going to concentrate on some of those on farm issues.”

The cost is $25 to register and closes Monday.  Click HERE to register.
