Trump infrastructure plan

The director of the Soy Transportation Coalition is eager to learn more about President Trump’s infrastructure plan.

On the eve of Trump’s first State of the Union address, Mike Steenhoek says thus far the President has been long on ambition and short on specifics.

“I think this is a real opportune time to actually do something this year.”

Steenhoek tells Brownfield the President has highlighted the importance of the inland waterway system during his first year in office.

“Certainly better than what we’ve seen some of his predecessors do, so I think there’s a lot of credit to the President and to the administration for really calling attention to the need to invest in our infrastructure and making it a real priority.”

President Trump is expected to discuss his infrastructure plan during his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, with more details being released by the White House in the weeks to come.
