U.S. biodiesel, renewable diesel exports trending upward
The CEO of Clean Fuels Alliance America says the 2024 outlook is strong for U.S. biodiesel and renewable diesel exports.
Donnell Rehagen tells Brownfield there’s been favorable growth the last few months. “That’s actually probably good for the domestic industry because of the low RVOs from the EPA. And so rather than flooding the domestic market, some of that fuel is making its way elsewhere.”
He says international demand has been picking up steam. “This is not just a United States phenomenon of wanting more biodiesel, renewable diesel, and SAF. That’s happening everywhere across the globe.”
Rehagen says Europe and Southeast Asia are primary destinations for clean fuels.
