U.S. ethanol stocks hit four-week high

U.S. ethanol production moved higher last week.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol production averaged one million, fifty-seven thousand barrel a day, up 34,000 on the week.

Ethanol stocks hit a four-week high at 23.6 million barrels, up 3.6% from the same week last year.

The Renewable Fuels Association says net inputs of ethanol purchased by refiners and blenders were up 2.1% to 931,000 barrels per day, while the volume of gasoline supplied to the market rose 3.8%.

U.S. ethanol exports were estimated at 76,000 barrels per day, down nearly 40% from the previous week. There were zero imports of ethanol recorded for the 39th consecutive week.
