U.S. Identity Preserved brand goes global

The U.S. Identity Preserved brand has officially launched on the global market.

Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance executive director Eric Wenberg says the brand symbolizes a landmark advancement in the verification of trust, traceability and value for food manufacturers, processors, and exporters.

“It guarantees food manufacturers abroad, such as in Vietnam, the quality assurance that they’re getting the best in the world. Crops grown by farmers in the United States grown with a purpose.”

Speaking to Brownfield from Vietnam Tuesday, he says the job of the Alliance is not only to raise exports, but raise the value of exports by convincing foreign buyers to invest in the U.S. for its quality.

“And pay a few dollars more for soybeans, corn, barley, rye, and we do that so that we can guarantee in the value chain back to the farmer a premium for them planning ahead and planting a specialized crop.”

Wenberg says the premium overseas customers are looking for can be brought home to growers in the United States.

Representatives of the American Soybean Association and World Initiative in Soy and Human Health are part of the event in Vietnam.
