US, Canada could reach NAFTA deal

President Trump has said talks with Canada on a revised NAFTA are going well. After announcing a preliminary deal with Mexico earlier this week, the U.S. is urging Canada to come to an agreement by tomorrow. There are unconfirmed reports that Canada reportedly might be ready to give some concessions on access to its dairy market.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he looks forward to signing a revised trilateral NAFTA if it’s good for Canada.

The U.S. and Mexico reportedly want a deal by Friday so it can be sent to Congress for its mandatory 90-day review.

The Canadian dairy supply management system has remained a sticking point in the renegotiations.
