USB chair outlines emerging markets for U.S. soy industry

A soybean industry leader says many countries have been pleased with the quality of U.S. soy.

Steve Reinhard chairs the United Soybean Board and says, “We have a quality product and a sustainably produced product here in the United States,” he said. “That’s an advantage that we have over some soybeans grown in other parts of the world.”

Speaking to Brownfield at the 2024 Farm Progress Show, he said there are some key emerging markets for 2025. “India is a big customer if they would come on-line,” he said. “The countries in Africa are going to have the biggest growth in the next 20 years over the rest of the world.”

Reinhard says checkoff funds will be critical for promotional and educational trade projects.
