The CEO of the U.S. Soybean Export Council says the organization’s structural realignment is designed to boost global soybean demand.

Jim Sutter says building relationships throughout the value chain is crucial.

“We want to make sure that we are focusing on the customers of U.S. soy, both current and potential,” he says. “We want to ensure that they really understand the benefits and the value of U.S. soy.”

He tells Brownfield USSEC is focused on diversifying the marketplace.

“We now have three big regions and a smaller region in sub-Saharan Africa,” he says. ” We think it’s important that we are out there in touch and contacting every potential customer there is for U.S. soy around the world.”

Sutter says a new approach will better position the industry to navigate changing market trends and help improve the bottom line for U.S. soybean farmers.
