Vital Farms, based in Austin, Texas, is expanding its operations in Seymour, Indiana.

President and CEO Russell Diez-Canseco says the company will utilize a newly created egg washing and packing facility.

“We bring eggs in from hundreds of small family farms,” he says. “What’s exciting about this facility is that it will support up to 165 family farms within a day’s drive of Seymour and over time, create 150 high quality jobs in the Seymour community.”

Canseco tells Brownfield the facility will benefit the local economy.

“This plant will support Hoosier farmers and will accelerate rural development in Seymour and the surrounding region for years to come,” he says.

He says Vital Farms will continue to expand in the future to meet consumer demands.
