Vyconic technology delivers flexibility and power in soybean weed control

Brownfield's Meghan Grebner interviews Bayer's Frank Rittemann. (Brownfield Ag News photo)

Vyconic is the next-generation soybean seed technology from Bayer.  Frank Rittemann, soybean launch lead for Bayer, says the technology is tolerant to five herbicides: glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba, 2,4-D, and mesotrione.

He tells Brownfield that weed resistance continues to be a problem for farmers, and this technology provides farmers with more effective weed control programs because the combination provides broader coverage and additional residual and contact control.

He says the use of multiple modes of action also helps reduce resistance to a single herbicide.
