Walz points to water quality, sustainable aviation fuel as key legacies

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is highlighting efforts to improve water quality and support biofuels as his term comes to an end.

Walz attended the first day of the Minnesota State Fair and tells Brownfield the state’s water quality certification program continues to grow.

“We can not only, feed, fuel, and clothe the world, we can be part of the solution. It’s our ag folks here that have voluntarily enrolled over one million acres to improve water quality. It’s our ag folks, and I have to say I think the legacy might be sustainable aviation fuel. I’ve always been a big believer in biofuels.”

He says the market potential for SAF is enormous.

“And now Minnesota being the national hub, seeing this partnership we’ve built together.”
