Wet, cool conditions help Ohio crops

The USDA says cool and wet conditions helped crops last week in Ohio.

Seventy-two percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-three percent of corn is in the dough stage, 73 percent is dented, and 10 percent is mature.

Sixty-four percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent. Ninety-five percent of soybeans are blooming, and 92 percent are setting pods.
