Wisconsin farmers finally see mostly dry week

Wisconsin farmers saw nearly a full week, 6 days, suitable for field work last week.

The USDA’s latest weekly crop progress and condition report shows 51% of the state is battling surplus soil moisture issues.

Sixty two percent of the corn crop is rated good to excellent condition, up one percent from last week.

Soybeans blooming reached 22%, three points behind the average, but 60% of the crop is in good to excellent condition, up 3% from a week ago.

Eighty four percent of oats are headed with 78% in good to excellent condition, which is down two points.

Sixty nine percent of pastures are rated in good to excellent condition.
