Wisconsin Farmers Union hires Watershed Coordinator
Wisconsin Farmers Union has hired a watershed coordinator. Former DNR biologist Bill Hogseth has taken the newly-created position, and will work directly with farmer-led watershed councils in Dunn, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties in western Wisconsin.
Farmers Union says the new position was created to help increase farmer engagement, expand participation in farmer-led watershed incentive programs, and coordinate water testing and programming.
Hogseth is familiar with the area, and most recently worked on prairie and oak savanna restoration along the lower Chippewa River.
