The House of Representatives passed legislation that would make E15 available all year, nationwide.

Wisconsin Congressman Derrick Van Orden says, “This is a fantastic thing for our farmers.”

The 3rd District Republican tells Brownfield the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act is a win-win for farmers and consumers. “There’s no detrimental effect to the environment, it’s wonderful for our farmers, you know, commodities are all over the road, and this is going to offer a great, more stable market for our corn growers, and you can save up to thirty cents a gallon.”

The nationwide year-round E15 bill, HR 1346, passed on a 218 to 203 vote on Wednesday evening and advances to the U.S. Senate, where its future is unclear.  “If the Senate does their job and gets this done, it will be signed into law by President Trump.”

President Trump has said he would sign an E15 bill if it gets to his desk.
