Wisconsin State Fair underway
The Wisconsin State Fair began this morning.
Sheri Black is the CEO of State Fair Park. She tells Brownfield the show ring is busy and there are plenty of animal exhibits, even though the state requires additional precautions before showing lactating dairy cows. “We have a lot of activity, obviously, in the barns. Our numbers are looking great. I’m very excited about our entries and the barns are full. I’m very pleased with that.”
The Wisconsin State Fair is 173 years old, and Black says, “The cream puff is celebrating 100 years this year. The cream puff began in 1924 as a way to promote the dairy industry.”
Black says the fair also worked with vendors to offer several eleven-dollar meal deals to help families save money.
