An agronomy manager with Wyffels Hybrids says the 2024 harvest season went better than expected in most areas of Iowa.

Eric Wilson tells Brownfield it was a pleasant surprise. “Record setting years for a lot of guys this year. It was a little surprising coming off the start we had to the season. A lot of things fell our way, especially on the eastern and southeastern part of the state.”

He says many farmers finished harvest without any delays. “I think it took about 75 days across our geography for our customers to get their crop in the ground. I would venture to guess it didn’t take half that time to get it out with the good fall harvest conditions.”

Wilson spoke to Brownfield at the 2024 NAFB Convention in Kansas City.
