Yield Optimizer seed selection tool

Farmers now have another resource for selecting seed.

AcreShield CEO Billy Rose says Yield Optimizer is the first independent seed selector program offering objective performance data.

“We’re kind of the Consumer Reports, if you ever read the magazine back in the day, but for seed variety testing.”

He tells Brownfield Yield Optimizer evaluates more than 700 seed varieties to address a so-called “yield gap” that could make the difference between profit and loss.

“You don’t get to select your land, but you do get to select your hybrids. We’re trying to demystify what are the best performing ones out there, and bring that back to (farmers) so they can work with the agronomists and seed companies and just be better informed.”
