California ag secretary discusses drought, regulations

At the recent annual meeting of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture in Lincoln, Nebraska, we talked to California secretary of agriculture Karen Ross about the drought’s long-term impact on agriculture in her state. We also discussed the increasing number of regulations being imposed on California farmers, which many farmers say are excessive and could eventually drive them out of business.
