Illinois Farm Bureau reacts to farmer mental health concerns

One in five adults in the US are diagnosed with a mental health disorder each year.

After receiving multiple calls from concerned loved ones, the Illinois Farm Bureau put together an initiative called “Stronger Together” that focuses on providing mental health tips and resources to rural families struggling with agriculture relates issues.

Jackie Jones tells Brownfield farmers and their families need to know the symptoms and signs of someone experiencing extreme stress, anxiety or suicidal thoughts as well as how to handle those situations.
