Harrisvaccines took a different route on PEDv vaccine

Harrisvaccines was the first company to introduce a vaccine for the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDv).The Ames, Iowa-based company introduced its iPED vaccine in the fall of 2013, only a few months after PEDv was first reported in the U.S.
In this interview with Brownfield, Harrisvaccines president and CEO Dr. Hank Harris explains the technology that allows the company to accelerate the vaccine development and production process. He also talks about PEDv and how the vaccine works in conjunction with other prevention measures.
