Visit JULIE at Farm Progress Show

There could be hidden utility lines, pipelines or communications lines under the ground beneath you.  Roger Watwood, Southern Illinois Damage Prevention Manager with JULIE, the Illinois one-call system, tells Brownfield it is crucial that the farming community and all excavators make the toll-free call to JULIE before they dig. By making that 811 call, Watwood says they can reduce the possibility of any underground facility damage to less than one percent.

The repercussions of failing to call before you dig could not only cause inconvenience, but could be life-threatening.
