A mild to warm, increasingly showery pattern ahead for the Heartland
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country. Warmth will be most likely east of the Rockies, while cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to parts of the Southwest, Great Basin, and Intermountain West.
Meanwhile, wetness is a near-certainty in the Pacific Northwest, while drier-than-normal weather will be limited to southern sections of the Rockies and High Plains.
