A pattern shift ahead for the Heartland; temps to moderate, a more active pattern to return

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country.  Colder-than-normal conditions will be confined to portions of the middle and northern Atlantic Coast States.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to the Deep South, from the southern tip of Texas to Florida and southern Georgia.
