Unseasonably mild weather ahead for the Heartland; an active, moisture-laden pattern returns

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day calls for the likelihood of warmer- and wetter-than-normal weather nearly nationwide.  Near- or below-normal temperatures will be confined to the Far West.

Meanwhile near- or below-normal precipitation should be limited to the southern Atlantic region.
