Seasonally mild weather next week across much of the Heartland; beneficial moisture for some

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for warmer-than-normal weather nationwide, except for near-normal temperatures across the southern tip of Florida.  The southwestern and south-central U.S., along with parts of the Northeast, will have the greatest likelihood of experiencing above-normal temperatures.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions in parts of the Southeast and from southern California to the central High Plains, including the Southwest and much of the Great Basin.
