A wide-range of temps ahead next week from the Plains to the Corn Belt; generally drier

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and rainfall across much of the country.  Notable exceptions will include cooler-than-normal conditions in the Pacific Northwest and from the middle and upper Mississippi Valley into the Northeast.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather will be found in a broad area stretching from southern sections of the Rockies and Plains into the lower Midwest.
