An active, moisture-laden pattern ahead across the Heartland; a range of temps, trending colder

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures across much of the South, East, and lower Midwest, while colder-than-normal conditions will cover California, the Great Basin, and an area stretching from the Pacific Northwest into the upper Midwest. 

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal weather across Florida’s peninsula and from the Desert Southwest to the southern High Plains.
