Briownfield Ag Weather Today

Precipitation across the nation’s mid-section will shift eastward, with rainfall lingering into next week in parts of the eastern U.S.  A new area of storminess will arrive in the West during the weekend, with heavy rain expected to return across the southern Plains by Monday.  With two cohesive areas of unsettled weather traversing the country, 5-day precipitation totals should reach 1 to 4 inches from the central and southern Rockies into the lower Mississippi Valley, extending into large sections of the eastern U.S.  Precipitation, including high-elevation snow, could total an inch or more in parts of the Great Basin and Intermountain West.  In fact, only a few areas—including the Desert Southwest and far upper Midwest—should remain completely dry during the next 5 days.
